October 26th, Lily weighed 13lbs 13ozs. She is sleeping thru the night and things are going great. She loves to smile and giggle. She is doing great at tummy time and even rolled over on Sunday the 24th. Since then she rolled over 1 more time, this time with Ryan watching. She loves her bath time and has been kicking her feet and splashing water! She can hold her head up very well. I will be going back to work very soon... and am having mixed emotions about that. I am looking forward to having adult time, but I don't want to miss a moment of her life. Maybe I could win the lottery and never have to work again!! :) We all can dream right??

More attempts at a holiday shot! On Oct 12th, Lily weighed 13lbs 11oz. We changed her schedule, she is now eating about every 4 hours during the day. Her naps still are not regular or very long... but she is sleeping thru the night! She is doing great at night time. She goes down between 6:30-7:30pm and sleeps until 5:30-7ish. We are over the moon about that!! Keep your fingers crossed that it continues!

Lily has made some great friends! We see each other on Tuesdays at a mom's group at the hospital. We also try to get together for a play date during the week. It is funny, the other mom's asked if Ryan was dark skin. Compaired to the other babies, Lily is a few shades tanner. It must be all the walks we go on. She must have gotten Ryan's ability to tan. That's a good thing!These pics were taken on 10/1/10. On 10/12/10, Lily weighed 13.11.
So I totally jinxed myself. I thought that I had her schedule all figured out, and she was sleeping well at night.. and bam! She is waking up more than ever... I talked to our pediatrician and she is not in favor of our strict schedule, so we are taking a break. I am going to let her make her own schedule for a few days and see what happens. She is going to sleep during the day when she wants and eat when she wants. The dr thinks that eating every 3 hrs might be too often for her, and that might be the reason why she spits up so much. We are going to try the 4+ hr. feeding instead. And if she wants to sleep for 4-5 hrs during the day, I am going to let her. Wish me luck. Maybe I will be lucky and Lily will make her own schedule and just let me know. We will see how she sleeps the next few nights. So far she is napping more today than she usually does, so that is a good sign.

Tuesday Oct 5th, Lily weighed 13lbs 3oz. She is sleeping thru the night a few times a week. For us that means that she gets her bath/bottle/bed by 7:30pm, gets woken up for another bottle at 10:30pm and then sleeps until 7:30am. For the days that she wakes up during the night, it is usually once, between 3:30-5:30am, has a feeding and goes right back to sleep. She is very cute to watch on the video monitor. So times she is awake in the crib, just sucking on her thumb, as happy as a clam. She is not too fussy in the afternoons anymore or in general really. She's like everyone has her good days and her not so good days. ;) Her favorite thing to do is to spit up. She does it very often, especially on daddy. She smiles and giggles lots! She is so much fun! I promise more pics to come!
